Ramsbury Scout Group ramsburyscouts@gmail.com

1st Ramsbury Scout Group
Adventure is at the heart of everything we do.
Scouting helps our young improve their key skills, including social skills, teamwork, leadership bravery, kindness, trust, confidence and above all, a sense of spirit and adventure; Skills for Life!.
Ramsbury Scout Group runs a varied and exciting programme for the children of our village and surrounding areas. We offer a wealth of activities, from camping and hiking to surfing and paragliding, as well as doing our bit to help within the local community.
We have a full commitment of Beavers (6 – 8yrs), Cubs (8 – 10.5yrs) and Scouts (10.5 – 14yrs). Each section meets up once a week during term time and we also all go away during the summer (and winter as well for the Scouts) for a weekend under canvas.
We can’t run the Group without a dedicated team of volunteers and we are always on the look out for new volunteers. What ever you can give, will contribute towards the smooth running of the Group. This could be ‘back of house’ stuff such as committee, or ‘coal face’ Leading. All volunteer roles are extremely rewarding. I know this from personal experience!
Scouting is a unique adventure that’s full of surprises. Join in, either as an adult helper, or young person and see for yourself.
Visit our web site for more information or to enrol your child either in to the Group, or on the waiting list:

Ramsbury Luncheon Club provides a nourishing lunch to guests who are aged 60 and over.

We meet every other Wednesday, during school terms, in the Church Rooms, Back Lane, Ramsbury. The atmosphere is very friendly and we are pleased to announce that we have places available.

There are also opportunities to join the volunteers who help with the running of Luncheon Club.

If you would be interested in becoming a guest, or if you have a little time to offer help please contact Diana Trickey 01672 520630 or Sheila Morgan 01672 520501.

We will be pleased to hear from you.

Welcome to Bella Voce Choir. We are a community based four part Choir that share a love of singing and performing.

We rehearse every Tuesday evening in the Memorial Hall, Ramsbury. We are accompanied on the piano by the very talented Kevin Bates.

New members are asked to have a brief audition with our Musical Director Sian Haynes.

We sing a wide range of music including Classical, Songs from Musicals, African, Jazz and many others.

We aim to perform 2 Concerts a year either in Holy Cross Church or in the Memorial Hall. Christmas is often a busy time for us as we join the singing for Carols by Candlelight, we can also be heard in the local pubs in the run up to Christmas!

We get invited to perform at other venues, and occasionally support the singing in church on special occasions.

In recent years we have teamed up with local bands, orchestras and other choirs, which have allowed us to broaden our repertoire.

It has given us great pleasure in the past to have been able to make considerable donations to various charities, this will continue whenever possible.
