Considering
standing in this year’s local elections? Please join us for local
elections webinar for prospective local election candidates
We are hosting a webinar on Tuesday 11 February from
6pm – 7pm to give prospective candidates and agents all the
information they need ahead of May’s local elections.
The webinar will be an opportunity for those considering standing for
election and their representatives to hear from our election team
directly, including the Returning Officer, and have any questions
answered.
The Wiltshire Council Unitary Election and town/parish elections take
place on 1 May.
This will be a useful session for all those considering standing for
election this year. We’ll have people on hand to answer any questions
and talk through the process of nominating and everything to consider
so that the election is as smooth an experience as possible for
everyone involved.
We're
continuing our zero tolerance approach to fly-tipping and littering
in 2025
We're reinforcing our commitment to tackling
environmental crime in the county, with two recent incidents of
fly-tipping and littering resulting in fixed penalty notices (FPNs).
Come along to the final in a series
of Ask the Leader events at The Vale Community Campus in
Pewsey on Thursday 30 January from 6pm to 7.30pm and ask Cllr
Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council, any questions you have
about the local community, the work of the council and plans for the
future.
Take part in
our Local Transport Plan consultation – and watch the latest webinar
We held our second and final Local Transport Plan
(LTP4) webinar this week, Monday 13 January, and if you missed it you
can watch it again on our YouTube channel.
There is still time to take part in the LTP4 consultation, which ends
on Friday 24 January, so please do let us know what you think.
Could
you be a #LitterHero and take part in this year’s Great British
Spring Clean?
We're working alongside Idverde to
ask community groups and schools around the county to take part in
the Great British Spring Clean this spring.
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action
environmental campaign. Now in its tenth year, it will take place
between 21 March and 6 April and we're encouraging local
community groups, schools and organisations to be #LitterHeroes by
getting involved.
