There are now seven defibrillators in Ramsbury and Axford

These are only really beneficial if used in conjunction with cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) carried out while the defibrillator is brought to the scene, so it seems sensible to try to ensure that as many residents as possible are confident to give CPR if needed. The Parish Council. in conjunction with Wiltshire Air Ambulance, is hoping to set up free community learning courses for CPR in the early autumn 2025.

These would be open to residents of Ramsbury and Axford and would be on weekdays TBA during the day and in the evening.

They are not suitable for those who require a first aid at work certificate or any similar qualification but are designed to give proficiency in CPR for the general public.

If you are interested in attending a course please contact the Parish Council on parishcouncil@ramsbury.org  or ring 01672 520045.

Courses are limited to 20 people at any one session so it is important that we have some idea of numbers before booking any sessions
