Summer Reading Challenge at Ramsbury Library

Join the Gadgeteers at your local library for this year's Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages 4 to 11 year olds to read six or more library books (including eBooks) during the summer holidays and receive rewards along the way.

Register before Saturday 30 July at your local library and your child will receive a pack of fun resources. Once they have completed the challenge, children are invited to return to the library to collect their final sticker, medal and certificate.

The Summer Reading Challenge is just one way in which we have sought to help children develop their reading skills. Last September, we launched the Wiltshire Year of Reading, a reading awards scheme involving schools and libraries, designed to inspire young people to read for pleasure. Our libraries hosted events throughout the year including, author talks, book festivals, a Harry Potter night and promoted the benefits of library membership.
