PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS WILL BE HELD ON MAY 4th 2017

There were fewer nominations than seats received for Ramsbury ward and two nominations for Axford ward so there will be no Parish Council election on May 4th.

Unitary elections will take place on May 4th

  • The Parish Council comprises fifteen Councillors, assisted by the Clerk to the Council, who are responsible for • advising the Wiltshire Council on local Planning issues;
  • maintaining the Play Areas & Equipment;
  • maintaining the various public Rights of Way, and
  • managing the provision of various Services such as grass cutting, emergency heating & shelter.The Council produces a range of booklets and other documentation on matters relating to life in our community. A Freedom of Information document lists the information available from Ramsbury & Axford Parish Council and gives other details about its procedures.

Recent publications (available from the Post Office) include: • Rights of Way map Wiltshire Council produce many publications including a Householders’ Guide for Emergencies.

Members of the public are welcome at all Parish Council meetings and have the opportunity to raise issues under the Public Forum agenda item.
